January 24, 2009 — The Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association announced the recipients of the Chapter’s 2008 Scholarships. The chapter would like to thank Darden Restaurants for contributing $10,000 towards our Named Scholarship fund and our Economic Empowerment programs.
A special thanks to Darden’s VP of Corporate Tax, Anthony Walker, who presented the 2008 scholarship award to Charles Wright. Charles is a current student at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and he received a check for $5,000 dollars towards his MBA.
Denise Carter receives the Central Florida Chapter’s 2008 Graduate Scholarship for $2,000 dollars. Denise is currently pursuing her MBA from the University of Central Florida and holds a BA from Howard University.
The Chapter congratulates both of these fine students for their accomplishments!
