The Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. is proud to announce its 2010 Graduate Scholarship Program. This year, two $1,500 scholarships are available to qualified minority graduate students. If you are interested in applying for these awards please follow the guidelines below.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must be minority students enrolled in a graduate business program at a college or university within the state of Florida accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 at the time of award (Fall 2010) is required.
Applicants must submit:
1. A completed application 2. An official college transcript through the semester of application 3. An essay 4. A current resume
2. The application, essay, resume, and official transcripts must be postmarked no later than Friday, July 30, 2010.
3. Winners will be notified in the fall of 2010 and expected to attend the Central Florida Chapter, National Black MBA Association, Inc. Partnership Appreciation Event scheduled for October 2010.
The Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) is dedicated to creating partnerships that result in intellectual and economic wealth in the black community. Over the last 9 years, the Central Florida Chapter has distributed over $20,000 in scholarships to minority business students.

In January 2009, The Central Florida Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. announced the recipients of the 2008 Graduate Scholarships. The chapter would like to thank Darden Restaurants for contributing $10,000 towards our Named Scholarship fund and our Economic Empowerment programs.
Darden’s VP of Corporate Tax, Anthony Walker presented the scholarship award to Charles Wright. Charles graduated from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and received $5,000 dollars towards his MBA.
Denise Carter received the Central Florida Chapter’s 2008 Graduate Scholarship award for $2,000 dollars. Denise received her MBA from the University of Central Florida and holds a BA from Howard University.
The Chapter congratulates both of these fine students for their accomplishments!
